Hmm it is always good for all to read and hear from
others as to historical matters. Evenbetter when it is
something that we can all share in common. ie. an
interest in the huguenots and how they played a small
role in our ancestory.

In one response so far, I am now so puzzled that I am
off to do more research..or think and isnt that a
reason for this list? To get us all thinking and
researching for the benefit of all.

I am puzzled about Beza and the death date of Calvin.

To save pouring over ancient text, would anyone care to
offer the definitve source on when Jean Calvin died? We
know it was in Geneva.. err at least I thought I read
that he died there.

Perhpas while I am re-reading some of these old texts I
will find or is that discover, who actually did begin
the French Reformed Christians or Huguenots.

Peter Leroy
