Hello Kay Gassan and all
The name Kalmund is interesting to me.
I have a couple of ancestors: Pierre Killemond born about 1688 in Palatinat
(Pfalz), Bayern, dead 08.02.1772 in Fredericia, Denmark, married bef. 1716
to Marie Dehon, born about 1699 in Gramzow, Brandenburg, Preussen, dead
18.05.1780 in Fredericia, Denmark.
The name is mentioned as: Killemond, Kinemund. Somewere I saw it mentioned
as Kielmann.
Lars Deleuran (Denmark) has the name Killemond (Kinemund) probably came from
"Guillemot". Jacques Guillemot, tanneur, aus St. Savain en Poitou, married
to Jacquette Andrienne aus Lausanne, they lived 1699 in Vierraden (Look at
"Die Colonieliste von 1699" by Dr. Richard Béringuier page 102:
"2350 Jacques Guillemot, Tanneur, du Poitu, sa femme et quatre enfans".
This couple had the following children:
Pierre Killemond, born about 1715 in Schwedt/Oder, dead 27.11.1792 in
Fredericia, married after 1743 in Fredericia to Marie Géorges.
Jean Killemond, born about 1718/1719 in Brandenburg, dead 28.07.1778 in
Fredericia, married 28.05.1745 in Fredericia to Marie Desmarets.
Marie Killemond, born between 1720-1726 in Prenzlau, Brandenburg, dead
25.05.1776 in Fredericia, married 1) 24.05.1748 in Fredericia Jacob le Févre
2) aft 1769 in Denmark N. N. Lange.
Elisabeth Killemond, born 16.11.1731, dead 26.10.1747 (Fredericia).
Susanne Killemond, born 1733, dead 05.12.1797 in Fredericia, married
08.04.1755 in Fredericia Jacob Vilain.
Isaac Killemond, born 04.12.1737, dead 30.10.1738 (Fredericia)
Olimpe Killemond, born 08.06.1739, dead 29.11.1747 (Fredericia)
Anne Killemond, born 05.07.1742, dead 01.02.1754 (Fredericia).
A person named Marie Elisabeth Culman married 15.01.1739 in Rohrbach Jean
Jacob Fortineux, born 17.10.1690 in Otterberg, Palatinat (This was his 4.
marriage according to genealogy from USA). Culman is supposed to be
Kielmann.
Guillemot, Guillemet, Guillemette?
Could Kalmund be the same as Killemond, Kinemund, Kielmann, Guillemot,
Guillemot, Guillemet, Guillemette? It is likely to think, but how can we
find more information to be sure. I think they were huguenots because of
their family relations and because they used the reformed church in
Fredericia.
Please anyone knowing anything about this name in Palatinat (Pfalz),
Brandenburg write the list to help Gay Kassan and me. Many of the danes
descendant from Pierre Killemond would like to know their ancestors further
back in time. Thank you.
Can somebody help by knowing the parents of Marie Dehon, born about 1699 in
Gramzow?
