Hi Folks

The Huguenot Library (which started out as the Library of the Huguenot Hospital and is now the
collection of the Huguenot Society of Great Britain and Ireland) was previously lodged in the main
building of University College, London but has recently been moved to the Special Collections
Building at 140 Hampstead Road, London, NW1, which is close to Euston Station. This is NOT the
mailing address (see below)

The Librarian is Stephen Massil who can be reached via or by post at The Huguenot
Library, University College, Gower Street, London, WC1E 6BT.

It is essentially a members Library, open free to Fellows of the Society but there is a facility for
day readers to use the Library but that will cost £7.50 per day as non-Fellows.

Library hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Wednesday only and people wishing to use it MUST make prior
arrangements - you cannot just turn up and use it.

The Society of Genealogists can be found at:

14 Charterhouse Buildings, Goswell Road, London, EC1M 7BA. Library enquiries can be made online or
on 020 7250 0291.

As a membership society, the SoG also makes a day charge for non-members to use the Library or other
facilities but that is refunded if the non-member subsequently subscribes.

Hope this helps

Tony Fuller
Life Fellow of the Huguenot Society
