There are far to many references for me to set out but I will indicate where
they can be found so that you can follow up the names if you think they are
of interest.

1. Huguenot Society Quarto Series volume 5. This list 12 CAPPEL and one
each CAPPELL & CAPPELLE. These can be viewed on film via the LDS.
2. Bibliotheque Genealogique at Paris. There are 17 fiches containing
CAPELL or similar. Some of these will almost certainly relate to places as
there are some 8 in France which includes Capelle/Cappel.
3. French Huguenot Society. Their indexes list 13 CAPPEL, 2 CAPELLE and 1
CAPEL.

Whilst it is possible to obtain the information concerning Items 1 & 2 you
may have some difficulty regarding the French Huguenot Society. As a member
I am in negotiation with them to see if some way can be devised to obtain
information at reasonable cost without actually being a member. In the
meantime it should be possible to obtain this information through the
Bibliotheque Genealogique - they keep a copy of all of the Huguenot
Society's publications. Should you decide to take this route let me know
and I can supply the Cahier details that will be required. Alternatively
you could await my discussions with the French Huguenot Society.

Another CAPPEL, Jacques, was the professor of Hebrew at the academy at
Saumur. As this is my area of research I can probable find a lot more
information as I do have a copy of the Temple records for Saumur and other
local towns.
