Andrea,
Thanks for offering to do these lookups. I have the reference for Jean
Bodin and
Esther Bridon, but I was wondering if you could send me the full text of
what
the record says. Jean Bodin from Medis, France married Esther Bridon.
They were
naturalized in London, England on October 14, 1681 (Letters of
Denization and
Acts of Naturalization for Aliens in England and Ireland, 1603-1700.
Huguenot
Society of London, v. 19, London, 1911, pp. 128-129). I believe Esther's
family,
Francis Bridon and all, were also naturalized at that same time. Can you
also
send me that info?
Jean and Esther Bodin first removed to Soubize, a small village in the
Canton of
St. Agnant, District of Rochefort-sur-Mer. Accompanied by his wife,
Esther, he
fled his native country on Saturday, September 13, 1681, a date noted in
the
financial aid records of the Threadneedle Street Church in London (info
from
Ronny Bodine).
Thanks for your help,
Dave Bodine
