I have seen surname LE BLOND in the indexes to the records of the
Protestant Church at Guisnes. Of course, the trick is connecting your own
family to these Huguenot LE BLONDs mentioned here and possibly in other
Huguenot records. No surname is, by itself, always a Huguenot name. Some
are, some aren't.
I would advise Gary, and anyone else wondering if their surname has
Huguenot connections, to check the IGI at the LDS site
(www.familysearch.org) to see if the name comes up there in any Huguenot
church records on there. It's probably also worth a look in the Family
History Library Catalog and in Ancestral File while you are on this web
site.
Also, do a search engine search to see what turns up -- use all known
and/or possible spellings.
