There is another researcher, Jacqui W Lubinski, who has this line and I am copying this reply to her! <mailto:> ws the last address I have for her.
A. J. descends from James HIPPLE (1809-1879) and Susan FISHER (abt 1808- ?). James wrote his will in Philadelphia in 5/20/1875 and mentions son A. J., one of his 9 children. A J and another son, B F (Benjamin Franklin), were appointed executors of his will.
I show that James HIPPLE was a son of Hans/John HIPPLE and Faithful STRICKLAND (8/29/1783-6/24/1842). They lived in Chester Co and are buried at E Vincent Reformed Churchground in E Vincent Twp. John born 12/7/1783, baptized on 5/18/1784 at E Vincent, spons, his parents - Jacob HIPPLE and Elizabeth REISS/RICE. Hans/John died 6/16/1857.
Jacob HIPPLE, his father, was son of Henry HIPPLE and wife Elizabeth. Jacob was baptized 1/3/1756 at E Vincent Reformed church, but his birth date wasn't shown, probably late 1755; spons was Jacob HIPPLE who probably was his grandfather. Jacob was confirmed age 14 in 1769 at E Vincent, shown to be son of Henrich/Henry HIPPEL, age which shows his birth abt 1755, probably late in that year. Jacob and Elizabeth REIS located to Marietta, Lancaster co PA where he died at his son Samuel's home on 1/10/1828.
Elizabeth REISS was dau of Zacharias REIS/REISS/RICE and Abigail HARTMAN of Pikeland. Zacharias REIS emigrated from Bavaria, Eisleben, Germany in 9/1751 age 20. He - Zacharias - lost his land in Pikeland and went to what is now Port Royal, Juanita Co PA in c1790 with most of his 17 children where he died 8/19/1811. His wife, Abigail/Appolonia died 11/6/1789 in Pikeland Chester Co, before he went to Juanita Co. She is buried in St Peter's UCC Cemetery on Clover Mill Rd in W Pikeland. She was a nurse during the RW at Yellow Springs Hospital in Chester Springs, which her husband helped build, and contracted typhus. A plaque honors her RW contributions there at the St Peter's Cemetery which reads - "Abigail Hartman RICE, wife of Zachariah RICE 1742-1789, served as a nurse at Yellow Springs Hospital during the Revolutionary War".
Hope this helps!
Diana
