Janet:

I have this note:

John Hipple applied for RW pension #S4373, on 10/2/1832 in Washington Co at age 77. He was born in Chester Co in 1755 and lived there at enlistment. In 1811 he moved to Washington Co PA.

John was father of 4 children that I have found:
Lawrence b ??
George b bet 1789-1790 went to OH and died there
Frederick b. c1800
John Jr b c1805

In will of Lawrence HIPPLE, Vincent, he mentions grandson Lawrence, of John.
HIPPLE, LAWRENCE. Vincent.

Provides for wife Rosina, who is to maintain 5 younger children until
they are 14 years of age, Lawrence, George, Jacob, Abraham and Mary.
Elder children, Henry, John, Frederick and Elizabeth to receive what
will make £150 each, including what they have already received. Real
estate to be sold when younger sons are of age and divided among them,
Lawrence, George, Jacob and Abraham. <<To grandson Lawrence Hipple, son
of John, £10 at 21 >>. The 5 children first named are by "present wife."
Executors: Wife Rosina, Henry Pannebecker, Jacob Finkebine.
Wit: Benjamin Custard, Adam Yeager.

A connection?

Yes... I have access to Ancestry and Genealogy.com census records!

Diana: Peter Hipple born 1796 would be of an age to be the father of Peter
Hipple (1824-1872) who married Hannah Boyd b. 1825, d. 1905, or thereabouts
(her death notation in the same bible says she was 82. Census for 1850
might provide a link, although Peter and Hannah were married Mar. 1849, but maybe
they were in his parents' household in 1850. Maybe a later census for
George would show Hannah living with his family in her old age.
Are Heinrich and Hannah in your lineage? I have no idea how many Hipple
families there were in Chester Co. Pa. around 1800. Do you have Ancestry.com?
If not, I'd be glad to look at their census indexes to see what they show.
