The family which my ancestors are from the Palentine area of Germany. The
original
spelling was HIPPEL(VON) You have to start from present and work your way
back.
When I lived in NYC around the late 50s and 60s the only Hipples' listed in
the phone books was my family and a Paula Hipple in Manhattan.
