My third great grandfather Charles C. Rich and Amasa Lyman lead that group
to San Bernardino. The only info I have on who exactly went was a small
list in his book. Originally, only a small amount of Saints were to go, but
many went without 'authorization' seeking gold I think and went anyway.

I am looking forward to this. I only live a few miles from San Bernardino
and in 1997 they did a very small 5 mile reenactment that I was apart of and
it was great. Then we had a great reception at the San Bernardino Museum
for descendants only of the pioneers that crossed those plains. (The San
Bernardino Museum has a web site and it may have a list. Let me see if I
have the address somewhere.) Dallin H. Oaks of the Twelve Apostles was
there the entire weekend. He too has a descendant from that trek.

If you have any questions, let me know.
