I think some inquired about Rosemarket a few months ago. It's still a town,
according to the list of parishes the Pembroke, Wales web site through
www.cyndislist.com. You'll have to try to find a free map on the web. I found
a site that said it's now in the Dwyfed administrative district.

Wonderful story--thankyou.
My g-gfather (Paul Gourley) was born in Rosmarket or Rose Market,
Pembroke, Wales, and left for the US a little later in 1856, and was
in the Martin Handcart company. I'm having trouble locating his
birthplace. If you (or anyone else on line) have a map of that time
era, could you see if this location is on it, and let me know? I
don't know if it is anywhere near Glamorgenshire, but I would presume
that the missionaries of that close of time frame, would have labored
somewhat in the same area.
