Hello,

I am new to the list as of today :}. I am glad I found it on RootsL.
I have a number of Mormon pioneer ancestors. (I am as well,
convert 1993.).
Some of the names are Stout ,Dennett, Taylor, Fisk, Neilson.
The Neilson's were from Denmark and came over on the James Nemits.
Isreal Neilson married Karen Caroline Sorensen on board ship on the
way to USA He had brought her along to help him care for is 4 year
old son by a previous marriage. This is the line that paid for the
tabernacle windows.
Allen Joseph Stout was the brother of Hiram they were body gaurds to
Joseph Smith.
They both kept journals which I have been able to acquire copies of.
The experiences and sacrafices of these pioneer ancestors is very
Humbling. I am so thankful that they had the spirit and courage to
survive all that they experienced. I just discovered these ancestors
in the last three years so am still in awe of the blood tie I have
with them. Genealogy is truly living history.
