Have you checked the Washington County genealogy web site for ideas? Try
posting a query. Looks like they're trying to create a web page for each
town/historical site, but the ones for Rockville and Shonesburg are "under
construction."

According to the Encl History of the LDS church, Shonesburg branch was
incorporated into the Rockville Ward abt 1893. Perhaps a point of contact in
Rockville, maybe the postmaster, might be able to tell you who owns the
property. Just a guess.

We are planning a trip to Southern Utah to visit some of the burial
sites of our ancestors. Two of our ancestors, Samuel Kendall Gifford and
his wife Lora Ann DeMille Gifford are buried in the Shonesberg cemetery.
I understand that Shonesburg is now private property and you have to get
permission from the owner to visit there. Does anybody know anything
about who owns it, how to get there, how to get permission, etc?
