In a recent posting the phrase 'Lehi Pioneer' was used. Could anyone please
explain?

Sorry...Lehi is a small Utah county city....my ggfather, Joseph Dorton moved
to the US from Stockport, Cheshire, England to Pennsylvania. He was converted
in PA by two missonaries and then made the trek west. His wife died enroute.
Brigham Young called him (because of his skills) to go to Lehi (about 40 miles
south of SLC) and be the butcher for that settlement. He later ran the Pony
Express and a mercantile store in town. He remarrie in Lehi to Martha Clayton,
an English convert.
