Hello list,

I've been searching for info on my grandfather, John J. BITTNER, who died
before I was born. I understand that he worked for the US Post Office. He
died in 1961, and is not listed in the SSDI. Did they have some type of
pension fund instead of SS? If so, where can I find those records?
