Here are some that I have. I hope that they help. Sharon
1.)"Genealogy Exchange & Surname Registry
<http://www.genexchange.com/index.cfm> "
2.)"Surname Web
Surname web is a place for people who have their family lines
online to link to so that others can see who they are
researching. It's a good place to start digging, cause people
list the primary names in the db.http://www.surnameweb.org/ "
3.)www.genforum.com/surnames/
4.)www.citynet.net/mostwanted/
5.)Many of the US Genweb sites have surname queries and searches---
www.usgenweb.net/
6.) www.rootsweb.com/ is the homepage and can go to searching from
there
7.) ancestry.com They have a subscription that is very reasonable.
This opens the doors to tons of material. There is also a daily
newsleter that you subscribe to at no charge. Also at no charge are the
daily database and some other bases and indexes. I have found a lot of
information here.
8.)"GRS Newsletter to Ad Surname Queries!!! The big news is that the
newsletter is going come twice a month and I hope to make it weekly! IN
ADDITION, we are adding surname queries. Now, over 30,000 readers will
see your information! For this to work well, you will need to send your
queries to: Please type the query as you would
like to see it appear but please be as brief as possible and include
your email address in the body of the message. (It just makes it easier
for me to cut and paste!)"
There are many, many more. I can send them on as I come accross them if
you need more. Again, Sharon
