To my knowledge, Rome never kept records, but the local church would have archived records of
baptisms, marriages, first communions and confirmations. It may not have information about
funerals. The Catholic Church maintains records at the parish level. What you may run into is
war destruction. Many ship records have been lost to war. Good luck in your research.
