I agree with sharing more.  In fact there are more sharing here than I
expected.
FTM does not send back near the information that they receive from its
customers.

We need a place that we can send in information and others can retrieve it
without little or no cost.

To document everything that is said and done makes a different ball game, and
makes the family tree making into a big business.  True everything should be
as
true and correct as possible but it makes it very difficult to get material
together
and enjoy doing it.  Medical is one of the most improtant peices of
information
that can be put into the tree.  Are we going to get hospital records and
doctors
records for that?

So, who and where can we go for free help such as the FTM?  Or, who is
going to do it for non/profit?

It would be great if AOL provided this service at no cost, and it sure would
attract more and more customers from other providers.

Seekers,

How does every body feel about posting gedcom files on the internet?  What
about privacy?  What do you think of FTM's practice of asking users to post
their family trees and then they sell them back as part of their World Family
Tree CD's?  Does anyone out there post on GENDEX?

I believe that the information I've gathered should be shared.  I've taken the
time to get the sources.  Where and how should I share this information?

Let's get a discussion going.
