submitter's name, for Vol 7 Tree 1844 >>
Having done the same thing occasionally (forgot surname connected to
submitters), I've learned to do two things. 1) Write down immediately the
Vol. #, the Tree # and the name(s) in that Tree which prompted your request.
That way when you get the submitter's name, you have a reference. A small
notebook works great.
2) If you forget, then try putting the surname of the submitter in the entry
line to search (provided you have the WFT disk.) Often times the submitter's
name will come up,then you can go look at the tree which includes that name
and then look in index of names or kinship report to find the names familar to
you.
If for some reason you don't have WFT 7 and need further help, e-mail me the
submitter name, Tree number, and potential surnames you might have been
looking for. I'll try to help.
