Dennis,
I have had FTM for more than a year now, and believe me when I say I love
it. I checked out all the other different types of genealogy programs before
purchasing CAREFULLY as my monies are limited with me back at college again.
It has some outstanding plus' but does have some drawbacks. I have the same
problem as one of the list occupants with several generations being named
the same-(Ggrandfather-Albin J.Ory and father-Albin J. Ory) but I have
worked my way around that with a #1,#2,etc after the first name in
parenthesis- ex.Albin(#1) and no spacing.
FTM also allows for opening and importing/exporting other files to the
program. It will also hold 999,999 people w/o having to begin a new program.
Thanks to Tracey and others, I now have 3079 in the FTM tree I am working
on.
BTW Tracey, I may have found another "Langley cousin" on the Cajun Clickers
website, have emailed and waiting for a reply.
