Hi Bruce,

I don't think the problem is with the URL of GNIS, but the fact that it is
busy. The site is constantly being inundated with requests, that it gives
your server a connection time error if unable to connect within a certain
time limit.

I have the GNIS Link on my webpage and I just tried it and was shocked I was
able to get thru WITH results right away.
