Seeking information on the parentage of my GGF. I don't know whether
FANE was his mother's maiden name or her middle name. The NYS death
certificate for Augustus Latham gives the following:

Born: 04 July 1823 in Long Island, NY
Died: 05 Aug 1890 ae 67y 1mo in Whitehall, Washington, NY
Buried: 07 Aug 1890 in Dresden, Washington, NY
Father: John Latham, born Long Island, NY
Mother: Mary Fane Latham, born CT

His obituary from the Whitehall Chronical on 06 Aug 1890 said he was a
"well-known boatman", originally from Long Island and resided in
Whitehall for 35 yrs.
