Our door is always open. When we retired I thought that I would lose
contact with so many people. Wrong. It is very uncommon not to have at
least one person drop by a day, and we love it. We live in a small
town and it is rumored that if you sit on your porch you can expect
company. When our kids were growing up there was always at least one
extra kid here for supper and it was terrific.
When people around here come to visit and just drop by they don't come
to see your house, they are seeing you. Very seldom do they come empty
handed either, this time of year we are stocked with tomatoes, beans
and peppers. Usually flowers arrive about once a week too.
Maybe it is just the small town, country way of life, but I love it.
