My grandfather didn't have indoor plumbing until early 70's I think. (I am 35
and remember him putting in the bathroom, but how old was I ??).

anyway on to the point---when my mother was in her early teens the outhouse
on the farm was located not far from the barn. As this happens it was time
to slaughter the pigs and so forth, which involved several people to do. She
went in to the outhouse and shortly thereafter came flying out with her pants
down around her ankles...Why you ask, well she just sat on a black snake that
was curled up around the opening...Pretty funny to hear it told now. But she
was scared and then embarrassed.

Mom also got a bat tangled in her hair at the same farm. Also in her early
teens. I remember the outhouse, and the bats.
