HI Sue ... Yes my last name is SEARS. To tell you the truth I have been
so involved over the past years researching my mother and grandmother's
lines, that I have not started the SEARS side yet.
I can tell you though that there is a 3" thick published book on
the descendants of Richard SEARS that I have seen at the library. Richard
seems to have been the patriarch of a very {how should I say} active
family. There are more SEARS scattered around N.E. over the past 300
years than rabbits.
No, I can't give you any detailed info yet [try back in 20 yrs],
but I can assure you that if you go to your local LDS FHC or library
genealogy room, you will probably find some data/family books to get you
started.
Have you tried the surname lists at
or done a surname search in GENNAM-L? These are just a few of the places
available to start looking for others researching the same names you are.
If you are on the web then you've got it made.
Happy hunting.
Joe
