Hi Everyone!
I like the idea of this list too. A couple of the others were getting a
little too hot for my liking. I kind of liked it when people got into a
good discussion--until the grumpies got on them and got so rude and made
everyone quit being friendly with each other. I enjoy hearing the
memories and stories that some of the queries help us to remember.
Anyway--I have an old picture that was sent to me a month or so ago. I
know where the house in it is located at and who it belonged to. But the
women and baby in the picture are unidentified. The one woman looks so
much like one of my sister's baby pictures that it's incredible. I
figure the picture was taken somewhere between 1880, maybe even a little
earlier, and 1920. I know that's quite a span of years. I'm not a good
judge of how old people are or how old something is.
I made copies of this picture and had the part with the women and baby
blown up so we can see their faces better. I'm in the process of sending
it out in hopes that someone will recognize who it is. Does anyone have
any suggestions of what else I can do to help this happen?
Wish me luck--I'm teaching a class at our church tomorrow morning on how
to use e-mail genealogy lists. How to get on them, etc. I'm also going
to share some of the neat experiences I've had meeting new friends who
have helped me and showing them some of the good information that all of
you people send out over the lists. I'm excited to be able to do this.
Well--have a good evening everyone!
Jan
