Ancestry.com Launches New Data Collection for the UK and Ireland:

To date, Ancestry.com's collection of genealogical databases have largely
focused on U.S. records. Even with a U.S. emphasis on genealogical records
though, Ancestry has quickly become the global leader in online family
history. Because so many of us can trace our roots beyond the U.S., many
Ancestry customers have asked us to start providing genealogical records
from around the globe. We've listened, and in response we're proud to
announce that Ancestry has launched a new data collection featuring
high-quality and exclusive records from the United Kingdom and Ireland.

About Ancestry's New United Kingdom and Ireland Collection With new records
added daily, the United Kingdom and Ireland subscription will be constantly
growing with birth, marriage, death, probate, immigration, and directory
databases.

United Kingdom and Ireland Parish and Probate Records - Includes 15 million
birth, marriage, death, probate, and burial names from historical parish
registers in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland ranging from 1538 to 1837.

Civil Registration Birth, Marriage and Death Indexes This collection of 14
million names includes an alphabetical index that is searchable by name,
record type, district and county. This index will grow to include every
registered birth, marriage, and death in England and Wales between 1837 and
1900.

Pallot Marriage and Baptism Index This exclusive 4-million name collection
from the England and Wales area identifies the Parish in which the marriage
or baptism was celebrated, the names of the participants, and the date of
the event. The original image of the record is also available to UK/Ireland
subscribers.

Irish Famine Index: This index of six hundred thousand names is especially
important to researchers of Irish descent. The database catalogues the
immigration of the Irish during the Potato Famine of 1846-51 through
passenger lists and other immigration documents.

The UK and Ireland Collection will be sold as a separate subscription for
$69.95 billed annually for new customers. Subscriptions billed quarterly
are $24.95.
