Hello Listers

My gg-grandmother Margaret CROTHERS and her brother John CROTHERS came to Australia as from Ireland as assisted immigrants on the "Thetis" arriving Sydney 20th May 1850.

I would like to know how to get information about the assisted immigration schemes, this vessel and its voyage.

Also are there records of where the assisted immigrants went when they arrived here, eg where they given employment etc.

Any advice would be appreciated.
