Hi Folks;

Just letting you know that the June 2000 - Vol.25, No.2 edition of the
Society's quarterly journal, ANCESTOR, was delivered to the GSV on Friday
afternoon from the printer and will be posted out to members during next week.

This edition is great and my congratulations to the Editor and her team
for the journal.

The cover has a colour picture of the Melbourne Town Hall taken circa
1920 on the cover. This edition of the journal starts a regular Question
and Answer feature.

You should also have included in the journal a number of sheets. One is
a Notes and News from myself and the second information regarding the
Annual General Meeting to be held on Saturday 21st October, 2000 and the
election process.

I realise that our AGM is on the same day as a genealogical open day,
but the date was set many months ago before any information was known of
the proposed open day.

I hope that you enjoy your copy of ANCESTOR when you receive it. I would
appreciate any comments regarding it after you have had the chance to
receive and "digest" it.
