Hi All
I am trying to do some more planning for the Melbourne trip .I have a few
questions .
Has any one ever heard of " The Abbottsford Girls Convent School " ?
My Grandmother & her sisters attended this school when they moved out of
South Melbourne & were living at near Brougham St . Richmond.The time period
would have been about the 1890's.

I can't see any school of that name in my 1998 Melways.The only Catholic
School I can see is St James RC primary School .ANY info on The Abbottsford
Girls Convent School would be appreciated - ie Is the building still there
& where could I find old school rolls ?
Also what would have been the equivalent Boys school at the time ?

Second question - My G Grandfather worked at " The Abbottsford Brewery as a
driver .I see CUB is now in Church St,Abbottsford.Am I correct in presuming
it is the same place ? Is there Admin office at the same site? Does anyone
know IF they have an e-mail or how I could find old employee records?
