Shirley Muir,

You state that your great-gran had two children born at Milk Maid Flat near
Bendigo.
My father's cousin John Russell SAVIGE was said to have been born at a gold
mining area known as Milkmaid's Flat near Kangaroo Flat on 10 Aug 1857. His
birth was registered at Golden Square.
I found a place once known as Milkmaid's Flat at Mandurang east of Kangaroo
Flat.
Would this be the same Milk Maid Flat to which you refer?
