Hi Colleen,
When I bought mine in June, the price was $55 including postage.
I ordered by phone from the Carlingford Family Resource Centre, 756 Pennant
Hills Road, Carlingford, NSW 2118, phone (02) 9 8415447, and paid by credit
card.
The set contains the Viewer CD, which has the viewer program you
install. This viewer allows you to search the CD's and display/print the
results etc.
It contains the National Index to the 1881 British Census on 8 CD's, and
the detailed census on 16 CD's which is by region.
Mine only took a few days for delivery, but that would obviously depend on
whether they have the set in stock when you order.
There is quite a detailed manual on CD which you can print out if you wish.
The set is excellent value and comes in a folder with separate storage
sleeves for each of the 25 CD's.
I only had a few ancestors in the UK at that time, but have done
lookups/printouts for other people, so have put the set to good use.

Does any one know the Exact price in Australian Dollars of the new 1881
census ? I think I should be able to order if from the LDS in Sydney - New
South Wales .Has any one ordered it from there ? How long did it take ?
Would I be better to order it from the LDS on line ?
I previously ordered the British Vital records via fax from the LDS at
Carlingford in Sydney & it took less than a week to arrive .I was very
impressed .
I do NOT have any direct family back in England in 1881 they had ALL
immigrated to Australia well & truly by then .Most of then around 1840's Can
some one tell me what use it would be ? How many CD's in the set ?

PS - I am very much a newie so please be tolerant
