I am still very new to all this so excuse me if i am doing this wrong .

I have a direct HANRAHAN connection in Melbourne - Australia & Limerick -
Ireland .My great Grandmother was Mary HANRAHAN born 1850 Limerick -
Ireland .She married Michael MARTIN in 1873 .Strange thing is that I found
the marriage on records in Victoria stating they where married in
Richmond - Victoria - Australia .I found elsewhere that they married in
Limerick but
that the marriage was recorded in Victoria !!!!!
Ever heard of this sort of thing before ? Why could this have happened ?

I have Mary HANRAHAN father as Thomas HANRAHAN born 1812 in Clare - Ireland
I believe she also had a sister called Patricia HANRAHAN .
If there is a connection I have nothing more going back but lots to share
going forward .
