Ray
there were lots of transfers from the Royal Warwicks to the Royal Berks.
Some were in batches eg a batch which transferred to Royal Berks numbers
20783 to 20861 in April 1916 and a lot were via Infantry Base Depots in
the field, ie men returned after an injury to an IBD and were then sent
on to a battalion that needed reinforcing.
If you let me have your grandfather's name I will see if he is in my
database
regards
John
