This may be a "stupid" question:
If my ancester, Alexander Walker Barron (who lived in scotland at the
time) was in the Royal Field Artillery in 1914 and was Sergeant 85525 in
the Fife Yeomanry in 1917, is there a website or a book that would allow
me to look him up? Would this have meant he fought in WWI? Where could I
find information on this?
