The larger version is nice and clear, thank you. No wonder I didn't
recognise it from the small version - I don't ever recall having seen an
RAF badge with a number above it like that before. I can only assume that
it was the squadron number, but that is only an assumption, and if anyone
out there wants to make any other suggestions about the significance of a
large figure 2 placed above an RAF cap badge, please feel free to join
in!

tell you more.
