Hi Forrest,
Many thanks to yourself and Bill for such prompt and useful responses. I
don't know why I did not get the entry when I searched before, I must have
entered a wrong number. Anyway I now have a copy of the medal card and a
short list of service records to search for. It's a shame these can't be
ordered on line, like I did for my GGG Grandfathers discharge papers.
I have at your request posted an enlargement of the cap badge in my other
query. It appears to be RAF, which surprised me quite a lot given the style
of uniform. Is there any further information to be gleaned from the badge?
