The WW1 MIC database allows you to search by regimental number and other
fields, and a search for:
Other Keywords (e.g. rank, regiment number) = 771380
...comes up with the following:
Medal card of Hall, John
Corps Regiment No Rank
Royal Field Artillery 3174 Gunner
Royal Field Artillery 771380 Gunner
If you download that MIC you may find some useful bits of information.
As he was a Gunner in the Royal Field Artillery, you can also have a look
at the associated Medal Rolls at Kew which will be referenced on the MIC.
His service record might have survived, and be in the Burnt or Unburnt
Documents collections at the National Archives at Kew.
Bill has explained the meaning of "X/63rd M T M Battery" and given the
reference to their War Diary, should you want to follow the Battery's
movements in detail.
