I would add that photographs taken by UK forces in the last year or
so, in the Basra area, which have appeared in the local press, suggest
that what has taken place as indicated in the URL is not general ie
that some of the graveyards have been "let go;" marker stones broken
and covered in weeds and undergrowth etc. ie no where near the CWGC
standard we have come to expect ! Yes I appreciate that they probably
weren't allowed access - yet !
