Good evening,
I am a new member on this list and after watching for a while, here is my first posting.
My grandfather was killed on 21.4.1916 and is buried in Essex Farm Cemetery [which I was lucky enough to visit last October]. I have two questions that I hope someone will be able to help with -
1. Is there any way to find out `cause of death` ? ie. Would sending for a death certificate tell me more than the details on CWGC site.
2. How do I discover what action is likely to have killed my grandfather ? There were 87 men killed and buried at Essex Farm between 19th and 30th April 1916 - quite a large proportion of the 1100 buried there.
I would welcome any advice from the well informed members of this list.
Thank you.
Barbara
