"Bowler of Gallipoli: Witness to the Anzac Legend" by Dr Frank Glen
(2004) is about Lt-Col Edmund Robert BOWLER, the only New Zealand
staff officer in the ANZAC HQ. A country solicitor from Gore, he was
effectively sacked from the Army for criticising the campaign when he
was in England. Until Glen's book came out last year he was unknown,
unlike the other campaign critics Ashmead-Bartlett and Murdoch:
