HI,

Does anyone know what measures, if any, are being taken by the Society of Genealogists or the Federation of Family History Societies, in light of the apparent news that the medal record cards are to be destroyed?

I would imagine that these two bodies would be at the forefront of any measures to be undertaken to avoid such deliberate destruction.

In the meantime repeated mass postings, individual complaints and hand wringing are unlikely to have much effect without the backing of those two bodies.
