Hello, A troopship was torpedoed in Alexandria Harbour 30th December 1917 with the loss of many lives. How long after the event may there be a mention in the London Gazette, and would the soldier have received a medal. I am searching day by day in the Gazette for Francis McKenzie. I would appreciate some advice.
