Hi Samantha,

You'll probably get a better & more in-depth answer from someone a lot more learned than me, but just to get you started:

Germany & Austria-Hungary are thought to be the main countries who created the conditions for the conflict that led to WW1. Germany built up their navy, the Archduke Ferdinand was assassinated in Sarajevo & European treaties fell apart.

Please excuse this basic and dim question.
The Austrians started WW1 by going into Serbia, right? Why is it that we tend to focus on the Germans as if they were the only ones to blame?
