I am almost positive there was.
I can remember when I was a teen in the mid fifties waiting in line to see a
Perry Como Show that would be shown live on TV that night.
We were standing on line outside of this building that housed the Magdalens
and I seem to remember it was the same building we were threatened with as
children....if we did not behave.
Unfortunately, there is no roster available of the older facilities.
I just had an idea....the Archivist for the Archdiocese of New York located
at St. Josephs Seminary, Dunwoodie, Yonkers, New York would most likely have
records of all the institutions. Sorry, I do not have a zip code nor the
url. You might try google.com
