Good Day George Family -
I am searching for James George, b. 1803 in SC. He is m gg-gfather. I have
very little information on him
He was in Rusk County, TX in the 1850 Census. That census shows all of his
children with him in TX were born in GA.
His oldest child in the census is Martha R, age 24.
I am looking for his birthplace in SC, as well as his first wife's name,
etc., who was not with him on the 1850 Census. He was married again to
Sarah Wyatt, August 14, 1850 in Texas.
His daughter Nancy Ann George was married to my g-gfather, James P.
Williams, in Rusk County, TX in 1852. They were listed in the 1860 Rusk
County Census and are both buried in Panola County, TX and did not appear on
the 1870 Census.
The rest of the George family apparently moved from Rusk/Panola Counties as
there are no records of them after the 1870's.
Thank you,
Nancy Williams Edwards
Carrollton, TX
