Subject: PA George family
I am in search of details of the George (Georg, Jurg, Jorg) family that settled in Lowhill Township, PA in the 1760s. The township was part of Northampton County then but is part of Lehigh County now.
I have baptism records from the Lowhill Reformed Church starting with its founding in 1769 (from the Weisenberg Reformed Church founded in 1749). Early members were:
George George
Johan Simon George
Johannes George.
The 1762 tax list includes
Johan Simon George
John George
George George
The 1781 tax list includes:
Simon George
John George
George George
Yost George
Laurence George
Henry George
The Militia records for 1778, 1779 and 1782 include:
Simon George
John George
George George
Yost George
Lawrence George
Henry George
Adam George
The federal census of 1790 includes:
Simon George
Widow of John George
George George
Yost George
Laurence George
Henry George
George George, Jr.
I am looking for the names of their wives and their children. I have lots of information about baptisms, marriage, wills, etc. but I am only guessing as to the connection of the children to the parents.
Hoping that some of you have passed this way before.
Thanks in advance
