Hi Guy,

Two different GEORGE lines are being discussed here. The Moses GEORGE
born 1771 who came up on the list last night and the Moses GEORGE born
January 27, 1795 in Lyman, NH are from the James GEORGE line, James
GEORGE being the immigrant ancestor. Your Moses, Amos, and Gideon GEORGE
are from the John GEORGE line, John GEORGE being the immigrant ancestor.

Last night you were wondering about a Moses the 1st. Here is an answer
to that. "Moses was known as Moses GEORGE the 2nd, being chronologically
the second of four Moses Georges born in Haverhill within a 22-year
period."

Moses and Abigail Bodwell Ladd GEORGE had ten children, Abigail Weld,
Elizabeth Ann Florantha, Marietta Theresa, Amos E., Wallace Thaxter,
Gideon Barton, Nathan C., Mary Jane, Eliza Hall, and Willard Kingman.
Supposedly they were all born in Haverhill MA, but I can't find all of
them in the vital records at a quick glance.

Gideon GEORGE's wife Elizabeth JEWETT was born in Rowley, MA, June 18,
1716 according to the vital records, and their son William was born in
Bradford, MA, November 18, 1737, again according to the vital records.

I know parts of this GEORGE line wound up in New Hampshire because
that's where my great grandmother GEORGE was born.

I'd be happy to try and answer any questions you have. Let me know what
you need.

Judy McIntyre
