The first DNA test results from the George Surname Study have been
published. We have a small but growing number of participants in the
study. By chance, the initial focus has been on the George families in
the Southern United States.

The study is ongoing and anyone who would like to participate in the DNA
study can still join. However, the web site is focusing on a balance
between the DNA research and traditional genealogical research, so we
hope there will be something of interest for everyone as we build the
site over time. Please take the opportunity to visit our site and
provide your input.

The first results provide information on the following GEORGE ancestors:

Benjamin GEORGE, VA-SC-TN-AR, 1775-1846
Jessie George, NC, b. between 1725-1750
Russell George, SC, b. abt 1825
