I am seeking any link for a James Wesley George, b. Nov. 1847 in Sandusky,
OH. James ran away at the age of fourteen and went south winding up in
Arkansas. I am very curious as to why someone would head south during the
Civil War. This man is my G.Grandfather. He never returned home and the
story goes that he was secretive about his family life. All that is known
is that his step-mother favored her own children over him causing him to
leave the family.
If you should have any clues to this, I would greatly appreciate your
trouble.
